There are lots of places to ride in and around Arusha. The area offers good mountain and road biking opportunities. We provide maps of routes that club members use in this area of the website. While these route maps are quite restricted for road biking, there are hundreds of possible routes for mountain biking, from easy, short and relatively flat – to hard, long and steep routes. We have tried to give you some ideas of possible mountain bike rides, but at the end of the day the dust and mud is yours for the taking.
A note for first-timers: Please exercise some discretion when riding through villages and farms – people are generally bemused and very welcoming of bikers – but politeness and respect for homesteads and people’s property and right of way goes a long way. So please be polite and courteous!
