The 2011 Karibu Arusha Race was the 8th to have taken place. The 2011 competition was the longest and best yet. The competition included best individuals overall, best teams overall as well as best in the mountain climb sprints – 3 category three climbs, 2 category one climbs and 1 category one in stage 1 and stage 4. Participants had to compete as a part of a team of not less then 4 persons and not more then 6.

Day 1 Stage 1 – 170 kms – Arusha – Ngorongoro Gate – Karatu
Day 2 morning Stage 2 – 5 km hill climb individual time trial Karatu to top of Rotian Hill
Day 2 afternoon Stage 3 – 110 kms – Mto wa Mbu – Arusha
Day 3 Stage 4 – 38 kms individual time trial – Arusha- Meserani Return
Women
Day 1 Stage 1 – Makuyuni – Karatu – 70 kms
Day 2 Stage 2 – Karatu – Makuyuni – 70 kms
Day 3 Stage 3 - individual time trial – 30 kms Arusha – Meserani
